It seems that recently everyone has been doing this new and exciting form of dance, and the students at Red Rock Canyon School are no exception. Twice every week our Zumba instructor, Lacey Timothy, comes in to help our students get pumped up about exercise. These students are able to learn different forms of dance, even if they have never danced before. The fun and energized atmosphere helps these teens to gain self-confidence and find a natural way to feel good about themselves, rather than reverting to drugs or other dangerous habits. Zumba and the other enrichment activities offered at Red Rock Canyon School provide students with opportunities to learn new skills, develop their talents, and overcome problems such as drug and alcohol addiction, low self-image, and anger issues.
